Northmount School Parents’ Association (NMSPA) Message
Hello Northmount boys, families and greater community!
The Northmount Parents’ Association (NMSPA) is winding up another wonderful year of supporting and hosting activities and initiatives for the school, students and the wider community. We are so happy that we were able to deliver a full complement of PA-run fun this year! Since the last newsletter, we’ve come together as a community for events like the Annual Christmas Baskets, Christmas Concert, Big Brother/Little Brother, Holy Mass, and family Christmas lunch. After the Christmas break, we celebrated Spirit Week Family Mass with Cardinal Collins, had a stellar Mom’s Night Out, helped the Easter Bunny deliver goodies to each class, and – for the first time since before the pandemic – held our ever-popular Grandparents’ Day/Foods of the World lunch. We also just held our Northmount Annual Gala – another smashingly successful event! You will see (and hear!) new brass instruments as a result of your fundraising support of the gala, as well as new computer room chairs, boards for the ice rink and more. Thank you so much for your continued support of this event!
Coming up – the year-end BBQ on June 14 and just before that, the PA will have its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on June 6 at 7 PM, including the introduction of next year’s PA Executive team. There are still a few open positions; please consider joining! Want to get involved more next year and volunteer for activities/events? Be on the lookout during the first week of school in September for the volunteer sign-up sheets. We would also love to see more parents at PA meetings – it’s a great way to find out what’s happening at the school. Meetings details are shared on Edsby a few days before each meeting.
See you at Northmount!
