Gerard McCabe graduated from the University of Ulster (Belfast, Ireland) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Quantity Surveying and has practiced in Canada since 1987. Gerard was a founding partner of cm2r and led the merger of cm2r with Turner & Townsend in 2010. Gerard has over 30 years of experience specializing in Budget Control & Cost Planning and Project Management. Gerard has experience in a number of construction industry sectors including healthcare, education, residential, infrastructure, transportation, and both provincial and federal government. Gerard is the Managing Director of the Turner & Townsend Canadian operations based in Toronto, he is responsible for Business Development and the overall management of the Americas Regional Board. Gerard has published a Best Practice paper on construction cost, project management and procurement for Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care and has contributed to a Market Trends and Construction Industry Capacity study for Infrastructure Ontario. Gerard currently sits on the Membership and Accreditation Assessment Committee for the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (North America).
Gerard has served on the Board of Govenors since 2014 and he and his wife, Elke, have two sons, both of whom graduated from Northmount in 2009 and 2012 respectively.
