Athletics

Physical Education and athletics in general are key components in the development of healthy active boys.  As part of our commitment to boys’ learning, students enjoy four recess periods a day and daily physical education classes. Students from Kindergarten to Grade 8 are encouraged to expand on the knowledge and skills they have learn in class by join an intermural or competitive team sport.

The Athletics Program at Northmount School for Boys allows our students to participate in a variety of sports each term.  It is our belief that sport helps to balance mind and body, and leads your son to becoming a healthier person. Furthermore, sport helps to build teamwork and camaraderie with classmates, and teaches lessons that one cannot learn inside the walls of a classroom.

Our dedicated coaches, comprised of staff and parent-volunteers, are highly trained and experienced in their disciplines. These individuals share their talents to effectively teach young men about important values such as discipline, responsibility, self-confidence, sportsmanship, and accountability.

In accordance with the Small Schools Athletic Federation, Northmount School offers a variety of sports in each of the three terms:
